What foods?
What foods are safe to eat on a low-carb diet (less than 20 a day) and what foods can i not have ?

i know what has carbs... thats.... potatoes, rice, pasta and bread... try eating vegetables and beans.. that really doesnt have any carbs.. also try salads and maybe tofu.
Salads, cheese, cottage cheese, veggies, fruit, peanuts, pork rinds, general serving of the meat family I wouldn't go overboard on the meat and just eat that,it's bad for your colesterol, and your heart, I would just human size it, and eat a little of everything.

all the lean meat u can think of, whole wheat bread (no more than 2-3 slices a day), cucumbers, raw cabbage, celery sticks, are free foods, u can eats these as much as u like. all the veggies except a lot of beans, can corn. starchy veggies. u can eat fruit, but i wud limit my fruit servings, due to the natural sugars found in fruit. salad is good also. ive been on a low carb diet. i have never taken all my carbs away, but lowered my carbs. since i love bread, rice, pasta. so what i have done, is when i have to have pasta or rice, i cook whole wheat pasta. or brown rice. i make salads with boiled eggs, char-grilled chicken breast strips(find these at walmart) cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, a few crutons, and fat free catalina or ranch dressing and thats a great lunch or supper. try these things, i hope they work for u also... good luck
Stick to your basic proteins and you should be fine. Things like eggs are a great start to every day. Omlettes are okay as long as you use light cream during.
Obviously stay away from any starches or sugars which is almost everything.
I got a low-carb cookbook to help me out which helped me think about alot of dishes. Many veggies are low carb - some like potatoes are definately very high.
