I usually shop about every ten days or so. My list always has milk, butter, eggs, orange juice, cof. mate, eggs, meats, fish, chick. fruit, veg. and some canned meats or fish. Every few weeks I need to stock up on coffee, Equal substitute, paper plates, plastic glasses and paper products. It's very hot where I live and I don't want to go out often. I live alone and am retired. I use a lot of paper products because I don't want a lot of dishes. I've done dishes for 55 years at least and I am sick of them. I cook because I like to eat and don't want to go out.

detergent (I do a LOT of laundry!)
bleach
hamburger meat
boneless chicken breasts
lunch meat
salad dressing
pop tarts (the apple cinnamon is SO good)

Eggs, milk, and bread never fail to show up on my list.

1 large box/container dishwashing powder/liquid
carpet cleaner
natural air freshener
scented candles
toothpaste
hand soap
Brita Water Filters

NOTE: the capitalised items are necessary for my/my cat's survival. can't live without 'em.

Mines about the same as everyone else, except I check yumyum.com and mccormick.com for ideas, see what I am in the mood for....all else fails, your favorite breakfast meal makes a great dinner. One my family loves, eggs, assorted meats, pancakes, french toast grits, you name it I make a big buffet of breakfast stuff and feast.

Ground tofu, green peppers, lemonade, wine.

I usually make a food list cos I don't really feel that other items are a necessity. Here's what on my list each time I go out. Ground beef or pork, magerine, milk, eggs, lettuce (one of the most versatile green leaf vegetables), rice, pasta, ketchup, bread, tuna, sliced meats, ice cream, baked beans, crackers, chips, mayo or micracle whip, frozen french fries, potatos, onions, yoghurt ... and the list could go on.

carrots, tomatoes, bread, milk, tortillas, fruit
That's pretty much it for always. I get most other stuff on an as needed basis.
