Question:

I'm a novice when it comes to grilling....?

what is the best grill to get that is not too expensive and easy to use?

Answers:
i have a grill pan and u put that on the stove you can use that to practice ur techniques like grill marks or making a medium rare steak it like 20 bucks and after u mastered that get a outdoor grill, or the 3 ft high dome grills are good to rememeber the temp needs to be high and coat watever grill u buy with a vegetable or canola oil and never olive oil has a low burn point so it will start to smoke real quick

Gas or charcoal, figure that out first, then go out and look, Webber, Char Grill, Barbques Galore, go out and ask the sales people.

Webber make good affordable BQ's !!!

I love my George Forman Grill....no smoke, no fuss, works like a charm - then again I also hate to cook so this solves all my problems

Charcoal gives better taste...but it costs more to operate, and it is more work. Gas is easier, and you can refill the tanks at every gas station. You can buy the grills that look really nice and are under $150 at Lowes or Home Depot. Get one (if you get the gas type) with the small side burner, so you can heat pans of beans or make coffee easily. Throw the steaks on the grill, keep the flame low, and call me....

I agree that a grill pan or two burner grill plate is a great way to learn your grilling. I have two!
