Coffee Jelly (japan)?
I went to japan and my homestays gave me (not homemade) coffee jelly ^^ So good. It was in this shape

heh. But it was almost like a mousse. Does anyone know the manufacturer of this or has a good picture?

Coffee Jelly is one of those desserts that have evolved through the years in Japan. "Kanten" is kind of like a Japanese "Jell-o". The Japanese have a very different pallet from the West and they do not like things too sweet. It must have evolved from the Japanese love of coffee (Japan perfected the canned coffee as well as the iced-coffee).
This is an old-school type of dessert, which probably was hip in the 60-70's. However, it has stood the test of time and is available in most convenience stores like Seven Eleven.
