Question:

cheese is in refridgerator

Answers:
You can keep cheese for a LONG time. If you have mold on it-just cut off the mold and it will be good.

swiss will keep for many weeks if wraped properly. if it should mold, just cut away the mold. swiss is a low moisture cheese and keep for some time.

It depends on the cheese. The harder the cheese the longer it will keep. If a hard cheese grows mold it can still be eaten, just cut off the molded cheese. That is if it isn't completely covered with mold from like from a year ago or something. A good brand of swiss would probably last quite awhile as long as it is kept in a plastic bag with very little air in the bag.

i'd say about a week, by then it will start to get hard & dried out.

I usually buy Swiss Cheese every week, and what is left over from the week before still looks good, I think that when ;you get the cold cuts home, its a good idea to re wrap them in plastic wrap, I can see a difference from that, than keeping them in the paper the store gives us.

I usually freeze cheese that I don't use and then I thaw it in the fridge, so you might be able to do that with swiss cheese.
