I do. My grandmother used to make these delicious chocolate, almost cake like cookies with nuts and a chocolate icing. And she had a big round red cookie box with Chinese dragons flying around the outside. >here it is>
1 C brn sugar
1/2 C butter
1 egg beaten
1/2 C sour milk
1 tsp Baking Soda dissolved in milk 1/2 C flour
1/2 t salt
1 t vanilla
2 squares choc, melted
nuts are optional (walnuts, peacons)
Chocolate icing, oven 375

for me it is my grandpas pancakes they weren't thin or doughy they were thick light and fluffy butter melted into them syrup on the side and chocalate milk have of which was given to the dog anyways but the best meal ever to memory

My grandmother did not bake cookies. She was a real old fashioned farmer. When we went to her house, we ate blue corn meal cereal and drank fresh mint tea.
She made great chili and homemade tortillas.

but i remember she us to always make us grilled cheese sandwiches. they were some of the best iv ever had. the cheese was melted perfectly and when you pulled it apart you could see all the cheese pull apart they were sooooooo good lol. yum! lol
