Where I can find ginger candy or some kind of food containing a lot of ginger?!

Question:

Where I can find ginger candy or some kind of food containing a lot of ginger?

Answers:
Lots of chain supermarkets stock ginger juice in the spice aisle. What you will use the food for will determine what food would be best.

For stomach aches or nausea, try crushing fresh ginger and steeping it in hot water until the water is golden colored. Remove the ginger and drink as you would an herbal tea - sweetened or unsweetened. In a pinch, you can also use powdered ginger in the same way - just a half to one whole teaspoon in a tea cup of hot water.

If you're just looking for a food that contains lots of ginger because you love the taste you can't go wrong ordering almost any thai or chinese (sometimes korean as well) dish and asking that they add extra ginger to the dish.

what about chocolate ginger? candied ginger coated with dark chocolate, darrell lea stocks it

Check in the "ethnic" section of your local mega mart. Or if you have an Asian market in town try there.

They sell candied(crystalized) ginger. Or you can make your own!
To make your own: Bring to a boil 1 1/3 C sugar + 1 C water, add 1 C peeled and chopped ginger pieces, and simmer for 20 minutes. Strain and dry, then sprinkle with sugar.

Good Luck!

In an Asian market, now quit asking the same question.

I like to make my own Ginger Muffins and always add extra powdered ginger to the recipe and my secret additive.
I add chipped crystallised ginger to the mix, so that when you crunch one you get a real ginger buzz.

I'm in NZ so I have no idea of where you can buy what you want, so thinking outside of the square I thought I would toss in a curve ball.
