How do you get ice cubes not to stick in the ice tray?!

Question:

How do you get ice cubes not to stick in the ice tray?

Answers:
Hmmmm, are you overfilling them? That would be my guess, if not try spraying the tray with Pam or something lightly and see if that helps.

Buy new trays...Yours are stratched and will never release the ice again.

Let the tray sit out for a few minutes before you try to take the ice out.

Make them with hot water.

Answer:Coat your ice cube tray with vegetable oil spray before filling with water. This may help a little if you have stubborn trays or stubborn ice.

Ewww...sounds kinda disgusting, doesn't it?

Then again, this said essentially the same thing:
o stop ice cubes sticking, spray the tray with a non-stick spray first. The non-stick effect will last at least a month.

Makes more sense that it would last a month, though. Not as gross.

It also mentions that using warm or hot water to fill your trays will 'melt off' the surface the manufacturer put on the trays that help the ice not to stick.

Cheers!

If you fill the trays with hot water, they crack a whole lot easier

If you use a spray that will just float to the surface.
My suggestion would be to not overfill them, but they will break up anyway.
