How do i cut down on my chocolate consumption?

I'm a chocoholic, & can't seem to control my strong craving towards chocolatey stuff! Im on a diet right now & ive kind of failed keeping chocolate out of it. What should I do? Helpful, practical answers would be appreciated. ^^

My father was a chocoholic and so am I. And the only way I can be on a diet and deal with the addiction was to first get rid of all the cheap chocolate (toll house chips, hershey bars ect). The I would go out and buy some really good chocolate and put it in the freezer. THEN when I would get on the scale if the weight was down at least 2 pounds I would go get A (that means ONE) piece of the yummy chocolate out of the freezer and savior it.

Using it as a reward for being good really works for me. Because if I'm really good I get to have lots of chocolate.

Buy Slimfast Optima in Chocolate Royale.
It's like a gift from god. It's so good for you and it doesn't taste like other low fat crap. It actually tastes and smells like chocolate.
I haven't tried anything else from the Slimfast chocolate collection but if it's anything close to this. I'm spending my life savings.

Darn, that's hard I am the same and really have hard time staying away from chocolate and sweets, but lately, every time I get the urge to have some I just head to the fridge and eat a cucumber or a carrot celery anything I can find, it never fulfill the real curve for chocolate but its been helping a lot.

Good luck.

I FOUND WHEN I HAVE CHOCOLATE I WANT IT EVERY DAY, BUT IF YOU CAN BE STRONG AND RESIST IT FOR A DAY YOU WILL NOT CRAVE IT SO MUCH. WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR CHOCO FIX HAVE A DRINK OF WATER, I KNOW IT SOUND'S STRANGE BUT IT WORKS , YOUR BRAIN SOON GETS TRICKED INTO THINKING YOU WANT WATER INSTEAD OF CHOCOLATE,GIVE IT A TRY. GOOD LUCK.

First admit to an actual person "I am addicted to chocolate" and go through the rest of the six step program!! Just say to yourself "I'm not alone" too. Get off "diet" and adopt a lifestyle change!!
