Splenda safety and taste...?!

Question:

Splenda safety and taste...?

Who trusts this stuff? Does it taste gross in everything or only the pudding I've had?

Answers:
No, DO NOT trust Splenda. It is NOT sugar. It is actually closer in chemical composition to DDT than to sugar. There are many sites that will tell you everything you need to know about not only Splenda, but Aspartame as well.

Here's just a little of what you can learn:

Fiction: Splenda is natural sugar without calories.

Fact: Johnson & Johnson claims that "Splenda is made from sugar, so it tastes like sugar". Johnson & Johnson wants consumers to think that it is natural sugar without calories. The truth is that Splenda is not natural and does not taste like sugar. The sweetness of Splenda derives from a chlorocarbon chemical that contains three atoms of chlorine in every one of its molecules. The manufacturer of this chlorinated compound named it sucralose. The improper use of “ose” in the name creates the illusion that sucralose is natural like sucrose which is the precise name for table sugar.

Consumers need to realize they are actually eating chlorine. The FDA determined that as much as 27% of sucralose can be absorbed by the body. (Means it's stored in our fat cells) This is particularly alarming for a chemical substance containing chlorine.

It's just not worth the long term health risk. I suggest organic cane juice crystals for sweetening. It's great and so much better for you.

Watch out for maggots is somewhat old a lot of eggs than hatch

I used to use it in coffee and especially Iced tea...till I learned that the make-up of it could be harmful to our overall health.
Other than coffee and tea, I didn't care for it in other foods.

i can't bellieve that we had it in our pantry at the office...somebody made a huge fuss about it but he later quietly himself into thin air when he heard that the boss is a huge fan of it especially with his coffee and tea's

im guessing its safe. Aspartame is in diet pepsi, coke zero, etc. splenda does not contain this cancerous ingredient. But too much of anything is bad so dont over do it

its good in tea and coffee :) doesnt have as bad of an aftertaste as sweet n low and equal, etc and it is better for you than aspartame or saccharin because sucralose is natural
