Why do marshmallows only come in pink & white?!

Question:

Why do marshmallows only come in pink & white?

Answers:
good question

you ever eat lucky charms? there ar a few more colors

It's food racism.

im sure ive seen other colours.

Marshmallows do come in many other colors, mostly showing up around the holidays.
I think they do this to please the eye, since we eat with our senses first.
Most people wouldn't buy black or blood red colored marshmallows.

You can, Bassets flumps have yellow and green marshmallow as well as the traditional pink and white. However my collegue and I can't seem to agree if a flump would really come under the classification of "marshmallow"

What about Flumps? Loads of colours

I have had black and white marshmallows on Halloween and green ones on St Patricks day
also orange ones in Germany so they are out there.....Sweet tooth hunting.

well in Canada where I am from, you can buy mini marshmellows and they come in many different colors. Blue, green, yellow, pink, white, orange. So I don't know the answer to that question, but it's not like that here!

because food manufacturers use the food colorings for other things....and its cost effective that just add red food coloring to marshmallow mixes....thats why it doesnt come out as red marshmallows, mostly pale pink...because they are cross cutting.

those cheap b*strds =)
