What is the point of decaf coffee?!

Question:

What is the point of decaf coffee?

Answers:
I add alot of sugar to my coffee.
So I don't need the caffeine

To tease you. It's a shame they ever invented it!
How do you do coffee? A mug, a bucket, or an I.V.? Personally I'd prefer the I.V.

caffiene speeds up heart rate and causes collagen breakdown in the skin causing premature wrinklies so it's healthier to drink decaf. I still drink regular coffee though but was thinking of switching to decaf cause i like the taste of coffee and not the caffiene kick.

The point of decaf is to keep the mental part or habit of the addiction. I have high blood pressure and being able to have a cup of coffee in the morning keeps me in my routinewhile not suffering from the usage of caffeine

There obviously was a need and then some smart business person filled that need for a sh*tload of money..... So I am guessing money more than anything.

Decaf coffee does not contain any caffeine. Consumption of caffeine does not eliminate the need for sleep. It only temporarily reduces the sensation of being tired. Thus, there are people who prefer to drink decaf coffee so that they will still be able to sleep well at night.

Too much caffeine can cause withdrawal symptoms―possibly including headache, irritability, an inability to concentrate, and stomach aches may appear within 12 to 24 hours after discontinuation of caffeine intake.

Some people can't have caffeine for one reason or another, bur like the taste of coffee. Decaf allows them to enjoy coffe without getting any caffeine.

Believe it or not there are people out there who actually enjoy the taste of coffee, and aren't just drinking it for the wake-up!
I'm one of them, and have been drinking decaf for the last year since I was pregnant and am now breast-feeding, and caffeine really isn't good for the baby.

Well there are people who love coffee but just can't have any, due to health reasons they can't have caffeine. So this is where decaf coffee comes in. The person is able to enjoy the aroma and taste of coffee less the caffeine. I think it's brilliant that it was ever invented. But mind you that even decaf is not 100% caffeine free, it still has some.
