When do you pick passion fruit, how do you know when they are ripe?!

Question:

When do you pick passion fruit, how do you know when they are ripe?

Answers:
They are purple in colour and when you squeeze they are a bit soft....

Press the bottom of the fruit, and if it is soft the fruit is ripe.

wish I lived somewhere you can pick your own passion fruit! I think when they smell good and are a bit wrinkly in the skin

when they are really wrinkly

when the skin is really really wrinkly and squidgey

If they're banana passionfruit, ripe ones are yellow.

If they're black passionfruit, they'll be wrinkly. The best ones are very wrinkly but still heavy for their size. If they're light, they've gone past ripe, and started drying out. Still possibly ok, but there's less fruit inside.
