Why did I eat that pudding/afters/dessert when I was full?!

Question:

Why did I eat that pudding/afters/dessert when I was full?

Why when I go out for a meal do I have a starter then a main and then after feeling completely stuffed have a third course? Why?
i know I will regret it later as well. Why does my body want something sweet?

Does this happen to you?

Answers:
This happens to me quite often and i'm in the process of training myself not to do stupid things like that but i still do. you're on the roll of eating. You have been eating and you're just on a roll. What happens for me is that maybe i'll eat something hot like soup and a hot sandwich but i'll be sooo full. Afterwards i'll eat ice cream. WHY?? Because i needed something cold and sweet instead of tart and hot. For me it's a taste sensation thing. That might subconciously be what it is with you too.

ya cravings if I have salty I must have sweet after.
and I doesnt matter that im full I take andes mints
when I go out to eat it satisfies my chocolate craving
and freshens breath.

Well usually you get so used to it you dont really care and because its the usual cake and usual blah blah blah.....

because you looked at the pudding menu and thought, wow!

It happens all the time. Your eyes are bigger than your stomach. tfw

Yes like me you have no willpower.

HOORAY FOR PUDDING...PUDDING POWER

To be honest, I am never hungry after a main course, but greed and cravings makes me want to have something tasty for dessert, but I do try to refrain from having it because obviously i'll gain weight.

I know what you mean! It happens to me too! Even though you are completely stuffed, theres always a bit of room left for pudding, always!!

It must be in a rule book somewhere - always leave room for pudding!!

because your a greedy git .just like me

Yep always happens to me aswell, even though i could do without it, i always seem to find room for dessert, and can't say no. It doesnt help when they bring the dessert the menu though lol
