Semi-Healthy lunches?!

Question:

Semi-Healthy lunches?

what can I have as a healthy snack in my school lunches that will fill me up for four hours? not sandwiches and I don't have to get up at 4 O'clock to make(exageration).

Answers:
a chickpea pattie with prepacked salad, a pot of yoghurt, piece of fruit and a handful of raw nuts

Maybe try a wrap? They can be quite filling and healthy, depending on what you put in them.

Make a pasta salad the night before and pack it in a plastic box; put in fridge... .... tastes better the second day

Just cooked pasta, cooked vegetables (you could even use half a box of frozen mixed veg's), pieces of ham or sausage, meat .... some dressing of some sort ...pickles...etc...even use some red kidney beans ...

A yogurt, an apple or orange, a granola bar, and a small salad with grilled chicken. Cook the chicken the night before and refrigerate. You can even cut it up and store it so that it is easy to add to your salad. You can prep the salad the night before as well. Then it will just be a matter of assembling it.
You can substitute chopped turkey for the chicken if you don't feel like grilling. Just use a lowfat dressing for the salad. I pack this same lunch for my son when he's dieting (he's 15).

Pastas always fill you up, but they are not the healthiest.
Try packing lots of fruits and veggies ie: raw carrots, bell peppers, broccoli and pack a small container of ranch dip to go with them. Or cut up strawberries, orange segments, grapes, etc.
Whole grain breads.
Nothing really sugary...that will lead to wanting more food about two or three hours later.

I don't know any "snacks" that will feel you up for hours unless you are having them as part of your meal like a chicken wrap, sandwich, or burrito. However, fruit makes a great snack- you can have a banana, grapes, an apple, strawberries, ect. Carrot sticks, mixed nuts, celery with peanut butter, and gronala bars are good too. =)
