Do you think that sushi is raw fish?!

Question:

Do you think that sushi is raw fish?

It's not. Sushi refers to the way the rice is made - sushi rice. There are many varieties of sushi. In North America, sushi rolls are very popular, much moreso than in Japan. Sushi rolls also often don't have any fish in them, raw or cooked.

Then, there's the typical Japanese sushi which is sushi rice topped with something, usually raw fish, but not necessarily. It could be topped with egg, cooked fish, or something else.

There's also a type of sushi which is just plain sushi rice inside of a pocket made of a type of tofu. Absolutely no fish in it.

Anyway, just wanted to let those who don't know this already to be exposed to this information.

Sashimi is raw fish

almost 90% of "ethnic" food in america is just americanized crap. i have to go to china to get an almost real traditional Chinese dinner these days.

i never thought of that before, you are very intelligent to know all that.

Sushi is raw fish. The name sushi (western slang) came from the japanese word sashimi. Dictionary is free online. What your refering to is o-ni-gi-ri. notice in your sentance that you answered your own question "japanese sushi rice" and you stated that its topped with raw fish. Yes, sushi.
You also stated that theres another way of making rice. Im very curious to know what other way is there to make rice? Only way I know of is boil. Oh wait, you can boil it then bake it after its mashed. Heres one you can work with for a while; A burger is not just a hamburger. In the North America, it comes with buns. They are very popular and sometimes come with cheese.
