WTF happened with this...?!
WTF happened with this...?
I just bit into this delicious looking peach. I just got it from the grocery store last night...it has a nice rich color to it; its firm but not too firm.... and I bit into it and it frickin' tasted like nothing...it’s like water! It looks and feels like a peach in my mouth… but where'd the taste go??
...Dude. I'm buying organic and non-genetically messed-with fruit from here on out...!
…Really though. My question is: Where the hell did they put my peach’s taste??

wow... some one peed in LadyD's wheaties... oops it was me!!! as for shoving "peach taste" into an @$$... that's the dumbest thing i've ever heard. SHE definately gets my retard crown for the day... congrats lady.
as for your peach taste i must admit... it's in my jones soda... that's right. they stole it from you. and now i'm enjoying it. it's goin in my belly... tastes so good... BWA HA HA HA!!! (evil laugh)
i try to stick with organic foods as well... ppl are pumping WAY too many steroids into things... especially our meats. SCAREY.
Up ur *** if you ask me.
sometimes this happens w/fruit like oranges
That's how it's suppose to taste if it's organic. It's the pesticides and chemicals that make it taste so good. =)
Ok, the reason it has no taste is probably because peaches are picked GREEN so they can be shipped, therefore they don't generally gain the 'tree ripened taste'. Since you want organic buy from the grower when the peach is ripe.
Don't have a friggin clue, same thing happened to me put with a pear
Well i really have know idea but It might have something to do with fertilizers they use when the peach is growing.
Or you just got an evil peach
bring it back and demand restitution. tell them that that peach was SUB-PAR.
Just because fruit (or vegetables) is Certified Organic, it doesn't mean it was tree-ripened. Most fruits, organics included, are picked while still underripe...they're harder, and they travel better that way.
BTW, just because a peach LOOKS ripe, doesn't mean it is. The fact is, peaches won't ever become more sweet after they're picked. They'll get softer, and develop more "blush", but they're as sweet as they're ever going to be at picking time.
Just one of those things that happens when buying fruit. If the fruit isn't in season, that's when it's more likely to happen. I'm all for the organic though. Pretty disappointing when you're looking forward to that tasty piece of fruit, eh?
LadyD... very classy. What's up yours that you needed to give that kind of answer? (Although "I'm Better Than You" You could consider changing your name on here... that's liable to rile a lot of people and breed those types of answers. Wouldn't it piss YOU off if someone was sayaing that to you? And you're saying to everyone here. And have news for you... it just isn't true. Just some friendly advice.)
It may be organic but they may have ripened it off the tree by using something like an inert gas.
Yuck...sorry about that. It is so disappointing to get a bad piece of fruit : (
Alot of fruit is harvested before it's ripened and allowed to sit in warehouses to ripen artificially with ethylene gas. Organic is the way to go. We buy alot of strawberries, apples and peaches, but when we started buying organic fruit, the difference is night and day.
Considering peaches aren't in season yet, it was probably grown in a "hot house" (similar to the tomatoes you buy in the middle of winter that are anemic looking and tasteless.
I live in Georgia, and peaches don't come into season until July.
