Hamburger spices?!

Question:

Hamburger spices?

My husband and I are grilling out today at my parents. We are grilling hamburgers and hotdogs. Does anyone have any good ideas that I can use on the hamburgers, like a spice or sauce?

Answers:
Montreal Steak Seasoning works out well on grilled burgers.

Garlic salt

Throw a packet of Hidden Valley dry ranch salad dressing mix in with the hamburger. About a packet a pound will add a nice ranchy flavor to the burgers.

I add Worcestershire, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder and seasoning salt to my burgers, but everyone has their own preferences.

Try addidng Lipton onion soup mix to the ground beef. It has all of the seasonings you will want, is low maintenance, and is inexpensive. I usually add an egg for each pound of meat, too, to make sure everything binds. This will give your burgers the flavor you and your guests will want.

I like to use soy sauce, worchestershire sauce and lemon pepper.

I little Worchestershire sause goes a long way.

I use celery salt, garlic salt, beaumond seasonings and they are yummy!

or

Use McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning - awesome too!!

Basil and/or Oregano in small amounts

I used seasoned meat tenderizer.

I agree with sleepingliv - we use Montreal Steak seasoning all the time and it's really good.

Mix in an egg, some chopped onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Delish! My in-laws love it when I make the burgers for the grill!

50% salt, 25% pepper, 25% garlic powder

It will taste just like Applebee's

Dale's Marinade is chock full of seasonings and is made to use on anything you put on a grill, seafood, chicken, steak, burgers. It just gives your meat that little something extra that everyone like, "Dang! You put your foot in this!"

My favorite combo of spices for beef

1 part chili powder
1 part ground coriander
1 part garlic powder
1/4 part cayenne (less if you don't like it hot and spicy)
salt and pepper to taste

Mix it into the hamburger before grilling and if making steak, use the mixture as a rub.

it's fabulous

yes, for hamburgers i use meat with only salt and one small piece of garlic( even if you don't like garlic the piece is so small that you cant feel its in there) try it this way its really good.

No matter what spices I use I always add a little liquid smoke to my meat and it makes it taste so much better.

Also, instead of grilling and then adding the sauce, you could try mixing some of the sauce into the meat before you grill, and then add more sauce later on.

Marinade the burgers in soy sauce for 1 hour and sprinkle with black and red pepper

onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, a bit of Tabasco for a kick, dash of salt, Worcestershire sauce, i like to used smoked paprika as well. Most grocers carry a specific hamburger seasoning which takes the guess work out of it

try an envelope of french onion soup mix.

Add lots of fresh ground black pepper and finely chopped onion to your burger mixture.

You can also brush on some heinz 57 mixed with a little honey. (2/3 cup of heinz to 1/3 cup of honey, salt and pepper if you want, brush on liberally before grilling and as needed).

It also works well with chicken.

mix soy sauce into the meat.

Just soy sauce, by itself.

Num!
