Should i drink less water?!

Question:

Should i drink less water?

on average i drink around 80 ounces a day, im a 165 pound, 6 foot guy.... and whenever id drink a glass of water i get hot, and start sweating a little.... i stopped drinking so much, maybe around 50 ounces a day, and i don't get hot and sweaty when i drink, but obviously im a little bit thirsty, should i keep this up (drinking less water) and let my body adjust to having less water... or should i go back to my old habits (80+ ounces)?

Answers:
no
you should always drink more.

drink as much as you want its good for you

Your body needs it. Keep up the fluid levels.

maybe a littel less, but not much

you should probably drink the amount that doesn't make you sweat

No,you can never drink too much water! dont be silly..water is one of the main things to keep you healthy

welcome *****

well your average water intake should be 5 - 10 glasses a day. You seem okay.

Don't worry i doubt you'll end up dead liek the girl who drank too much water for a contest...she drank about a gallon or 2.

Hope dis helps = P

Where are you getting your water. 80 ounces is alot. I would check the water and then consult a doctor about this.

Its always important to drink alot of water so more is better.

no. but do not drink too much!

No you shouldnt water is great for you. Everyday you should drink about 8 bottles of water, thats the average!

Drink the water. Your not getting hot and sweating because of H2O. It is better to have more.

just 8 cups a-day. relax.

u should drink alot of water but not over do it someone dies from drinking alot of water so just know your limit drink enough water

Yes I would definantly but dont drink too less

if your drinking tap water no wonder your body is doing that.

try distill water i drink it all the time. its better then spring water only it don't come in bottles. only gallons.

Start drinking water with barley and hops in it. You'll feel so much better. And up your intake to about 390 Oz's Good luck

You're drinking 10 glasses of water a day... when you cut back to 6 glasses you get thirsty.

Unless, you're sweating a lot from working out or at some type of manual labor, I would advise you get yourself checked out for diabetes.

Also, the drinking 8 glasses of water a day is a myth. Healthy people don't need to drink that much unless they're sweating out.

You could never drink too much water sweetheart,,The perspiration is the body's way of cooling it self off. So it is natural...Now on the flip side of the coin of you feel you are overly thirsty please seek out a test for diabetes and make sure that is not the issue. Drink up baby and work it out!

plain water can't quench thirst, you need to tip a bit of lime juice in your water before drinking, it is not the nicest thing to drink but believe me, it works. this will also lower your consummation of water because you can be diagnosed with water intoxication which is deadly.

When you sweat it's your body releasing water to cool you off, when your body doesn't have any water it can't do that. However, if you drink 80oz of water a day I'm assuming you work outside or work out a lot, which needs hydration anyways. I t really depends on what you do that you need to drink that much. I think it's fine, sweating isn't that bad. Also! sometimes the brain confuses hunger pains with thirsty pains so when your thirsty, eat something and see if it goes away. Hope I helped a little bit.... :-|

You're right on target. Sweating is a good thing; it helps your body regulate temperature. Probably a little more would be better for you if you're working outside.

Drink more water, the reason you have stopped sweating is that your body is too dehydrated. If you keep that up you could accidentally push yourself into heatstroke.

U SHOULD DRINK AT LEAST JUST 2-3 WATER BOTTLES A DAY, UNLESS UR WORKIN OUT. LIKE THE WATER AQUAFINA 16.9 OZ. PER BOTTLE

You could look at it this way; your body will only take in as much as it needs to stay in shape, the rest is passed either through sweat or urine. If you feel you sweat too much from the water, it wouldn't hurt to cut back a bit. Doctors recommend 8 - 8 oz. glasses of water per day as a reasonable goal, no matter your size or weight. That's 64 oz. of water daily. You on the other hand are taking in 2 more than suggested. Is that too much ? I think not. If the sweating bothers you..........................

Sweat is a natural mechanism for keeping cool. If you dehydrate yourself, then you stop sweating. In addition, you put your health at risk. If you drink extra water, then you just urinate more.

During basic training, I was told that one quart of water per hour was appropriate during the heat. In extreme heat, up to two quarts per hour were needed while working.

In short, drink as much water as you need. If you are thirsty, then drink water. If exercising, drink before you are thirsty.

keep drinking 80 plus oz. of water because you bodys use to it i drink 120 plus oz a day i mean i dont drink anything but water

nope. these symptoms are probably caused by something else. anyways, waters good for you. OR you could go to your doctor and see whats wrong or look up your symptoms on webmd

maybe you should talk to a doctor about this issue...

Just drink as much as you can per day. Your body will tell you when it has had enough.
