Question:

Is it roasted cheese or toasted cheese????+why?

Answers:
Toasted, when talking about a 'toasted cheese sandwich', but otherwise I dont know...

=]

TOASTED! If it was ROASTED it would be covered in oil in the oven.

Cheese sandwich? It's toasted. Roasting is done in the oven. ?lol

Toasted as cheese is just melted???? Roasted is to cook thoroughly - maybe I'm just guessing!

It toasted cheese.
My perception is that if you were to cook cheese in the oven then it would be Roasted.

But most of us use the Grill therefore making it toasted.

How about "grilled cheese"! Are we talking about the sandwich. I call mine "grilled cheese" because I cook them on a pancake style grill.

How do you prepare yours?

Toasted.

toasted cheese. To roast something it has to go in the oven, to toast something it has to go under the grill, so how did you cook it?

toasted. i have no idea why? just is!

Toasted. Because I said so! :)

Toasted, in a grill, not roasted in an oven.

Depends on how you make it.
Toasted cheese--made in an oven.
Grilled cheese-made in a pan or on a griddle.
Roasted--????--never tried it.

ummm toasted lol

Roasting cooks by dry heat in an oven, it's not something you would normally do with a block of cheese.
You might cook it as a topping on something in the oven but then it would be called 'baked'
It's toasted, put under the grill to melt and colour or fried if put in a pan on top of the stove.

Roasted is in the oven , toasted is under the grill.am a chef

Totally Toasted !!!!! Never heard of roasted cheese . Roasted refers to baking .

toasted cheese ,cos if you roast it,it would be like a nuns knickers,TIGHT!!!!!!!

toasted

Actually if you roast/bake them in a low oven 130C (260F) for about an hour and let cool they can be stored in an airtight container and are really crisp and crunchy.

toasted

toasted. you roast in an oven and toast under a grill.

Grilled cheese LOL.
It`d be roasted if it was in the oven ,toasted in a toaster or under the grill.

Roasting cheese on toast is what we call a "mousetrap"
