<>"Best if used before..." dates are not printed on all food labels. Sometimes, there are batch date labels which can be difficult to decipher. If a food has a "best before..." date on it, it could be printed on the cap, the bottom of the container, or anywhere on the label.
Like if its a bag of bread,it could be anywhere.on top underneath or in back.Just look all around the product.
Have a look at the label clearly , you will find some things like " for best before and manufacturing code .... see the neck or the cap or the bottom ..." depending upon which pack are they in.
The information shall be either pasted in label form , or a shabby hand print or ink jet printing.
There could be misallignment of label design and the information printed on them ; so read the info as per the correct allignment.
Ex -
Mfg Code -
Best Before - XYZ314
21.11.08
This means that XYZ314 is actually the mfg code and 21.11.08 is best before. Its only a mis allignment.
it's mostly on the bake where the ingredients are.. or on the front in the top
U can see the package of these foods .AS per law manufacturing and expiry date of food has to be printed in the package or container,u can also verify asking the shopkeeper.
If u r not confident enough don't buy food items that are manufactured without the label.
Each company labels their food in different ways. it is best to write the company to get help with their code.
