fruit salad is good and maybe potato or macaroni salad, baked beans. if you do the salad thing my suggestion is nest the salad in another larger bowl with crushed ice.it will keep it cool and reduce the risk of anybody getting sick .
with standerd burgers dogs and cole slaw but i would maybe go with possibly a joke food "freedom fries" in honor of mamorial day. potato salad guacamole and dip with standard salsa. And for chicken you should get provalone cheese and alvacodo sliced ontop
pork and beans with bacon or sausage, corn-on-the-cob, cole slaw, potato salad, french fries, string beans with butter, (and if you have a lot of people, and short on help and time, go buy the industrial size cans !...they sell a lot of things in a big can for so cheap !) also, get some asst. cookies. Have fun. Don't worry, I've seen guys dipping oreos in bean dip !
You can never go wrong with the classics, potato chips, pickle spears, potato salad, fresh fruit and veggies, cole slaw, lemonade and soda.
potato salad, baked beans, corn on the cob,
Depends on how much later and what you have at home to work with.
Cole slaw, potatoe salad, baked beans, corn (on the cob or not), or just a garden salad.
At my family cook outs we usually have a small fruit tray with watermelon, grapes, cantelope and honey dew melon. Just to start off, it usually gets eaten pretty quick if we're outside.
Good luck!
You can never go wrong with spinach dip. It is super easy to make 1 cup mayo 1 cup sour cream 1 pkg frozen spinach (thawed) and a pkg of ranch dressing mix. Then take a big loaf of sour dough bread cut out the center to make a bowl and serve the dip inside. Cut up the removed part of the bread into bite size pieces. Enjoy!
Potatoe salad, corn on the cob, macaroni salad, cole slaw, baked bean, baked onions, baked taters, LOTS of sweet tea! :)
MACARONI AND CHICKEN SALAD

POTATO SALAD
new potatoes
mayonnaise
finely chopped parsley
salt, pepper, paprika, to taste
Wash the potatoes, than cut them into halves and place in a pan of water. Boil the potatoes until you can pierce them with a with little resistance.
Strain the potatoes. Put them into a pot of cold water to cool off. When cool, strain again, and put them in a bowl with enough mayonnaise to coat, mix, then refrigerate until ready to use.
Just before use, sprinkle with finely chopped parsley to garnish and season to taste with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Optionally add finely chopped celery or ground celery seed, and sprinkle with onion or garlic powder, to taste. Can spice things up by using a pinch of Morton's Hot Salt and/or a teaspoon of lemon juice or vinegar.
