Does anyone actually eat Chef Boyardee canned pastas anymore?!

Question:

Does anyone actually eat Chef Boyardee canned pastas anymore?

I remember having this for lunch during the summer when I was a kid... and we LOVED it ... but with all the movement towards a healthier lifestyle who actually still buys that stuff?

Answers:
I used to love it as a kid too, but you're right about the healthier lifestyle bit. I don't get it cuz of all the additives, preservatives and the rest of the unnatural chemical gunk that's in it. So my answer to your question is No I don't eat Chef Boyardee anymore.

I do! It's great for lunches when you sleep in...

When I was growing up we all loved that stuff too but now I refuse to eat it anymore. It leaves a nasty, terrible taste in my mouth.
I hate when they change everything up! Grrrr..

when i was four i barfed up a can of spaghetti Os's and still cant stomach them to this day

It is an easy quick meal. I am 30 and sometime eat it just for a quick dinner.

my kids love it and its great for those days you have too much to do to stop and actually make lunch or hen you just dont feel like doing anything one day. pop it in the microwave and serve.

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Man, I used to eat that stuff all the time a few years ago. It gave me acid reflux sooo bad! I still have the worst heart burn.

I think that stuff just burnt a whole right in my esophagus.

it's a staple for kids. They like it i think because the taste is predictable and it is messy. Moms like it because it's easy and kids will eat it.

I am a mother and it is the only stuff my kids will eat. I mean even I eat it sometimes. But I don't think they are selling as much of it and that is why they are making so many new products and commercials.

I love that stuff, sometimes i eat it everyday. I'm perfectly healthy, it hasn't done anything wrong to me. although, i do prefer vegetables over chef boyardee.

one of my buddies does. He pretty much eats just that and hot pockets, He's also 23 years old, lives with his mom and dad, which is alright to do, but he gets woke up everyday by his mom tickling his toes, and still get toys on his birthday and christmas. Go figure hes the only one I know who still eats that.

Canned foods are convenient, heat up in a microwave (as long as you take them out of the can first) and are actually a bit healthier than they were when we ate them as children. No one should eat a steady diet of processed foods, but if you are in a hurry, or simply want to reminisce, an occasional indulgence is not going to put much of a dent into your new healthier lifestyle. If you are genuinely worried about the nutritional content (and I must admit that I don't eat them stuffed raviolis for their nutritional content) the information is readily available if you ask for it. I just went to the website and the manufacturer claims that there are no trans fats or preservatives in their products. Their parent company, Conagra Foods, seem to be aware that consumers want a healthier product and are responding to those demands. I actually feel even better than I did before about the fact that we keep a couple of cans in the pantry for emergencies. What we really should be eating are unprocessed, fresh foods that are untouched by pesticides, hormones, steroids, or other nasties (like those antibacterials) but when your free range chicken gets away and your pet rabbit gets into your victory garden, Chefboyardee certainly beats out the MSG, fat, and preservative laden foods that sit right at eye level on our grocery store shelves.

I just went to look at the ingredient list on the can. Despite their claims, they do seem to list some pretty spurious stuff. There is Monosodium Glutamate, High Fructose Corn Syrup (blamed for childhood obesity by many action groups) and all kinds of textured soy proteins and salts. At least the ingredients are not on top of the ingredient list (the closer to the top, the more that there is) but now I don't feel quite so good as I did before I looked. - sigh -

2 of my kids love Spaghetti-o's

i eat it still!! but ony if theres nothing else to eat

Yeah...My Niece and My Nephew Do...I had a bad Experience with one a few years back..so i can't eat it anymore...
