Defrosted - frozen again food?!

Question:

Defrosted - frozen again food?

what happens to food when it's defrosted and frozen again? our freezer was accidentaly left open and food was quite defrosted (not completely). then frozen again. is it safe to eat? what happened to it when it has defrosted once? that was food like pizza, cooked frozen meals, pancakes, vegetables etc, no meat.

i've always heard that once food is frozen than dethawed you have to eat it, not freeze it again....I don't think it is safe to eat
