How does someone prevent cereal from going stale?
Answers:
I used to buy these big plastic containers made just for holding cereal so you don't have to worry about them going stale after you open them. If you can't find them, One of those plastic pitchers for fluids could do. Good luck!
dont buy it?
eat it before the expiration date:)
EAT IT B4 it goes stale and make sure you close the box and the bad inside the box use a rubberband if you have to
my mother and my other housemates always tell me to close the box, but i like my cereal stale.
besides closing it really tightly if you have a humid home you could refrigerate it.
keep it in an airtight container, such as tupperware.
that will keep it somewhat fresh for longer than leaving it in the box
Put a small apple in the cereal box or transfer the cereal to an air tight tupperware bowl.
To keep your cereal from going stale, make sure you carefully reclose the box to prevent moisture from getting in or put it in a glass jar or labeled container with a tight lid to keep out bugs.
airtight container.
I've never had cereal go stale in a box before, unless it was after its experation date, but that's your perogative to keep it that way.
hope it helps!
I always keep mine in the fridge. Sometimes I put it in a bowl with an airtight lid. Both keeps it fresher longer.
Tupperware! They make a container just for this use. Had mine for years and will definetly replace when needed. I havn't thrown out cereal for years...even in the summer!
Its very easy actually. When you open the bag use special care not to tear the sides open. When air gets into the bag it causes the cereal to go stale quickly. When you put the bag away roll it down so it is right by the ceral. Use a cloths pin or a chip clip to hold it shut. Also you could concider vaccume sealing the food in a special container. Other then that store it in a dry cool place and it should last a while.
I use rubbermaid containers for cereal storage that keeps it fresh and it's used up before the expiry date*
you can put it either in a zip lock bag or a plastic container for cerals which u can but at any dollar store and put it in the fridge... oh and try to keep it away from humidity...
open the box, & refill the cereal to a large zip lock baggie, then return to the box!!!
Store it in an airtight plastic or glass container. This goes for crackers/chips as well.
