How long is a jar of salsa good for if it's stored in the fridge?!

Question:

How long is a jar of salsa good for if it's stored in the fridge?

Is it okay to eat if it has been opened and it's two months old? How about three months?

I imagine salsa would be good for quite a while because it has a lot of sodium in it and salt acts as a preservative, however, I want your expert opinions.
