Why must I drink 8 glasses of water, isn't that to much?!

Question:

Why must I drink 8 glasses of water, isn't that to much?

I eat three times a day, drink orange juice and apples juice. Still I can't find time to drink 8 glasses of water.

Answers:
To say that every person should drink eight glasses of water no matter their locale, body size, the amount of fruits and vegetables they eat, how often and how much they sweat is PREPOSTEROUS! If you are eating a lot of foods that contain water (fruits and vegetables) then you may not need anywhere near that amount. Don't listen to the hype. Your body will tell you when it's thirsty. Just quench that thirst with pure (not tap) water instead of crap beverages and you'll be just fine!

Check your urine output--if it's light like lemonade, then you are getting enough fluids.

However, oj and apple juice are high in calories so that is one reason they say drink water.

according to new research you don't have to drink 8 glasses of water, you get it through the food you eat, tea, coffee, juice and drinking water when needed.even cola has water in it.

I don't drink much water, mostly soymilk. And eat fruits. I don't think you really have to drink that much.

you don't have to drink that much because while your eating your getting water. You don't have to drink that much water.

you cant find time to drink water? thats the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. drink 2 glasses of water with every meal instead of juice and you'll save calories. drink a glass of water when you wake up and one before you go to sleep. thats 8 glasses right there.

You can never drink too much water! However, I usually don't find time to drink that much either. But if your urine is light colored then it means you're getting enough water.
