Neither of these cereals is particularly healthy, and in comparing them they stack up fairly equally ... equally bad.
I tried getting nutrition information on Lucky Charms from the General Mills website, but their link to the label would not load. Instead I went to a website called Nutrition Data to compare the two brands.
Here are the results:
Lucky Charms: http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts-a0000...
Cap'n Crunch: http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts-c0000...
Cap'n Crunch may seem healthier at first glance, but not until you compare the serving size. Lucky Charms says their label is based ona serving of 100 grams, versus Cap'n Crunch's serving size of 27 grams. So, multiply what you see on Cap'n Crunch's label by 4 to get a quick equivalent reading. The real multiplier would be 3.something something...
Anyway, the two cereals stack up fairly evenly. But Lucky Charms seems to edge out Cap'n Crunch with a little less fat, sugar, carbs, and a little more vitamin content. They are both pretty bad for you though.
I would suggest avoiding both of them.
Yes
they are both unhealthy-loaded with artificial colors and flavors, preservatives and chemicals. They are "enriched" with iron that is actually metal shavings from nails. If you crush some up in a bag, add some water, and put a magnet over the outside of the bag, the magnet will draw the metal shavings up from the cereal. Stick to healthy cereals!
there both not really that healthy but i would advise you to check the nutrition labels of both of the boxs
I checked the nutritional facts and they are so similar it wouldn't make a difference which cereal you ate... I 'm SURE that oatmeal and a banana or other fresh fruit with skim milk would be far more healthier for you.
I like "apple jacks" and "froot loops" because they are round, and since round foods are good for you (ie: apples, oranges, onions, etc) round cereals are too.
To make sure, reqd the nutrition label on the box. That will give you all the infoirmation you need. Then go eat your oatmeal.
