Why is whole wheat bread healthier?
I LOVE whole wheat bread it's much better than white but i want to know why it is healthier than white?

Because whole wheat is whole grain and has less fillers, it is easier for the body to digest and absorb the nutrients that are necessary for energy and nutrition.
because it has no holes in it. get it? whole bread. haha.
It isnt processed and bleached like white bread is.

it has grains that our body uses to digest the bread and other food and fiber white bread just turns to sugar and fat to ur abs but whole grain breaks down slowly and helps with digestion
Whole wheat bread doesn't give you many more health benefits than white bread other than the flour is unbleached. To really make a difference in your diet you need to incorporate whole grain bread - big difference. Whole grain actually has higher fiber content than white or wheat bread.
Because whole weat means that it is fully made of wheat and wheat provides nutrients which are very good for ur body.(it will make you look sexier too)
The main issue is related to the glycemic index. Whole wheat is made from more complex carbohydrates compared to white bread. This means that the body takes more time to digest wheat flour to simple sugar compared to bleached white flour and so the 'glucose rush' is much lower.
this has further influence on the release of various digestive hormones such as insulin and glucagon which control the body's metabolism and ultimately, fat storage and weight gain.
Good Question.. I would get asked this question from time to time when I use to work at Subway.. && I honestly can't answer that. I just know they have about the same calories.
