Pitting fresh cherries...?!

Question:

Pitting fresh cherries...?

anyone know an easy way? They are on sale right now and I'd love to pit a bunch of them, freeze them, and use them in my breakfast smoothies! Much cheaper than frozen!

Answers:
I live in the "cherry capital of the world", Traverse City, Michigan. So, we use a lots of cherries in all kinds of dishes. There is a really quick way to pit cherries, with a cherry pitter. They're inexpensive and there are many different types available. You can go online to buy them or if you have a Bed Bath & Beyond in your town, or something similar, they're likely to have the tool. Hope that helps you.

Sadly, I dont know if there is an easy way to do it. I usually just take the time to pit them one by one...Sorry I cant help much!
