Why cant you eat frostbiten food?!

Question:

Why cant you eat frostbiten food?

my dad just threw away a whole frozen pizza because the whole top was covered in frost. whats the worst that would happen if we heated it up and ate it? soggy? im confused.

Answers:
You CAN eat frostbitten food... it just doesnt taste very well! But you dont have to throw it away! If you feel like cooking it up to see just HOW bad it tastes then you should... THEN if its still too horrible to eat, toss it! LOL

Its not going to hurt you though... just not as great tasting... it TASTES frostbitten!

Hope that helps!

The food is either soggy, or has a terrible taste. But, sometimes the food actually tastes good.

You can. It would just taste like crap!

Definately soggy and probably affect the taste of the food.

The other day I found my waffles with ice crystals on them, I tried brushing them off and toasting but they were still horribly soggy and not too tastey. I tossed them.

The food wouldnt taste as good, but it would not be harful if eaten.

=]

it was just too old. and yes, it would have been soggy.

The food gets reallly really dried out. You CAN eat it, but it wont taste very good.

I thought the term was freezer burn not frostbitten.....anyone??
