What goes well with lemonade on a hot afternoon?!

Question:

What goes well with lemonade on a hot afternoon?

I'll be serving lemonade, what goes well with this drink, or is it good by itself? I was thinking in terms of cookies, something I can pick up at the local bake shop. Thx.

Answers:
Some type of light tasting tea cookie or butter cookie would be best if you're wanting to serve a baked good.

I would recommend something more salty to compliment the tart taste of lemonade. Or you might want to do a snack or appettizer instead.

you could get chips. people usually like doritos. chocolate chip cookie's are good too. tea rings as well.

Maybe those little butter cookies, or just crackers.

A nice refreshing glass of lemonade. Delicious. I would go with lemon pound cake or a coffee cake crumble. Not cookies. Everyone has cookies. But you are the special person who gets pound cake. Plus you can determine the size of slices, and it's pretty inexpensive.

Lemonade goes great with a slice of cool poontang pie. Don't get anything with chocolate. Bad combo citrus acid and coco. Go with Sugar cookies or lemon bars. Or you can go with the cool poontang pie... my favorite midday snack.

Sunshine Baking Company used to make delicious cookies called Lemon Coolers. They were butter cookies that were rolled in powdered sugar. They were wonderful. If you had the time you could pobably make them.
