Why is it that milk goes so well with cookies?!

Question:

Why is it that milk goes so well with cookies?

Answers:
My theory is two-fold. Milk has lactose, a type of sugar in it, and so it goes well with starchy and sweet things. The other is that it has some fat in it (mildly hydrophilic) and washes something oily or fatty down well.

you're a retard...haha

Becauses it makes them all soft and gives them a milky flavor.... mmmmmm I want some now.......

It washes the cookies down oh so well

Cuz some 1 said so...and we all agreed!i like cheese in my peanut butter sandwichesv 0_0..lol

So that a sweets-type food can go under a healthy section of the food pyramid.

It makes it soft and when your done eating your cookies you have a cookie tasting milk

because it complements the taste (instead of taking away from like juice would) and has a creamy texture that goes well with sweets.

i think this is because there flavor compliment each other

cause it has a neutral flavor that goes well with the sugar from cookies.

Because it tastes good, as do cookies, and they compliment each other.

Milk goes great with cookies.Because it brings back childhood memories.

IDK!! It just does!! it wouldnt be right if it was soda and cookies, or water and cookies!! right??milk and cookies sound right and taste right!! besides cookies have milk in them away........................

Because of the rich sweetness of the cookies washed down with refreshing cool milk is just awesome.

Because thats what we're raised to accept. It'd be the same way if everyone grew up eating cookies and OJ or sumthin else. It's just something that you grow up liking. Its basically an aquired taste.
