Dr. Pepper w/ peanuts? and boiled peanuts?!

Question:

Dr. Pepper w/ peanuts? and boiled peanuts?

My dad poured peanuts in his Dr. Pepper as a teen in New England and now I'm in FL and some pour peanuts in a coke before drinking..what's up with that?? Also~ please someone tell me what is so great about boiled peanuts, please? EEeewww. What I have tried is mushy and yucky.

noooooo idea what is good about boiled peanuts except that they are easier to take the shell off that's all i can think of. and as far as putting peanuts in dr. pepper i've never tried/heard of it...hmmm i guess i'll have to try
