How fish can be grilled?!

Question:

How fish can be grilled?

What do you think, is fish better than red meat, for heart problems? what is the best way of cooking or grilling? is there a difference between fresh fish and frozen one? what properties has fish oil? is fish eating dangerous?

Answers:
lots of questions here, 1st, fish is way better for you than red meat, red meat has cholesterol, and whilst so does fish, the fish oils have a positive effect on the cholesterol whilst in meat it does not, this is down to the omega 3 acids in fish. frsh is indeed more flavoursome than frozen but frozen id slighlty more nutritionally better as its preserved.

see this link for benefits of fish oils

as for cooking, grilling is easy, and tin foil is your friend here!!
you should use a little olive oil, lemon juice & pepper, keep it simple, the lemon juice works on most fish and brings out the flavour quite naturally as with most foods, experimentation will bring results as you try different kinds of fish. a good fishmonger is worth their weight in gold, they will help and guide you, and prepare fish for you. some fish are better cooked with the skin, this is both to retain shape and gives flavour, get to know your fishmonger. there are a few fish i wold steer clear of whilst you are finding your way, red snapper for instance, but your fishmonger will definately point you in the right direction. Fish is wonderful to eat, i do not eat red meat, at all, simply because i find it too heavy. Fish has many many health benefits-and very tasty too. and fish is easy to cook once you understand it, its pretty delicate and requires little cooking time, experiment and i'm sure you will love it. good luck

Fish is good for you. fresh fish i find better as frozen seems to lose the taste. I mix butter with garlic and spread over fish, then wrap fish in foil and put on barbie. it is so yummy. garlic is good for heart. fish is better for cholesterol than meat (so my doctor tells me), a good source of iron too.

eat fish is probably one of the more healthier foods. if you can avoid deep fried fish it is even better. Grilling fish is more healthy since only a small amount of oil is uses when cooking and excess oil drips off the fish. try fresh always if available but frozen is also good as well as a 2nd choice.

fish is a great choice because of the omega 3 found in them. A great grilling recipe for salmon consists of 1/2 cup chopped green onions, 1/2 cup orange juice, 1/3 cup honey, 1/3 cup soy sauce, 1 teaspoon ground ginger, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Mix together all the ingredients, pour most of it into a plastic baggie, add your salmon, coating it well and allow to marinate for 20-30 minutes. Once on the grill use the left over sauce you reserved to baste the salmon. Cook approximately 4-6 minutes on each side or until salmon flakes easily with a fork. The biggest difference I have noticed between the fresh fish and the frozen is in how long they keep fresh. There is some loss of taste anytime you use frozen fish but it is not a major one. Eating well cooked fish is generally safe and healthy. The biggest concern would be ingesting a parasite found in raw or undercooked fish. I hope this answer helps.

most fish is better than red meat, but not always, can be dangerous to pregnant women or children, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16787673/... see this website
