Thats mainly bcs of the phosphorus that is present in fish in great amounts.Moreover,fish is very rich in omega-3 fats...that provides ur body(especially ur brain) with fatty acids that are not available in other meats...which r a great fuel for the brain....If u eat fish 3 times a week...u'll notice the difference in no time!!

There have been studies:
Two groups take a test and each persons score is noted.
One group eats lots of fish and the other eats no fish.
after 3 months the people retake the same test.
Results show that the individuals in the fish eating group scores have improved more than those in the not fish eating group.

it is absolutely true and especially concerns oily fish (tuna, sardines, mackerel, herring, sprats, anchovies etc) which has a high content of Omega 3 fatty acid. Our brain is mainly made of fat, and needs more fat to stay healthy and function properly. That's why Omega 3 is particularly beneficial to our brain. The good health of our brain helps concentration during our study / work, and ultimately prevents depression.

I am not sure about specific studies which directly relate brain health as a function of fish consumption, but numerous studies relate the consumption of Omega 3 fatty acids (found in salmon and other cold water sea fish) to lower blood pressure, raised levels of good cholesterol, and better health in general. I would be surprised if anything that has such a beneficial effect on health in general, is not also good for the brain.
