Rice will bind you up. So will white pasta.
If you don't care for fruits (apples and pears are great for inducing bowel movements), try eating more vegetables such as fresh green or yellow peppers, raw carrots, fresh cooked broccoli or cauliflower, and cooked or raw cabbage..
Beans (legumes or pulses) such as navy beans, chickpeas, black beans and kidney beans are great for your purposes also. You can use a blender to make them into dips, or eat them in soup, or there are various bean casseroles.
Last, don't overlook the benefits of whole grain cereals such as oatmeal, bran flakes and granola.
If none of these help you may have to try Metamucil or a stool softener such as senna.

chilli

With eating lots of fibre you also need to drink lots of water.
About 8 glasses per day.
The water is a good flushing treatment.
It really works.

plums and prunes.

dear,
try to drink plenty of water atleast 8 glasses per day and eat vegetables cos its rich in fiber which could help ease your bowel movement.

My mother always swore that eating a bowl of oatmeal every morning keeps your system in check. But anything with lots of fiber will help keep you regular. Try eating fresh fruit verses drinking fruit juices and switch to whole grain breads.

food that is highly in fibre as well as drinking lots of water

Get some Fiber One cereal bars. They are healthy and they'll get things moving for ya.

yogurt, strawberry milk, and prune juice, especially in the morning
