How can I get safe drinking water?!
How can I get safe drinking water?
Bottled water is getting expensive, especially if one drinks a few bottles a day. So is there a way to get safe clean drinking water for a cheaper price and/or possibly free?

Most Health Food stores now have large systems in-store that filter the water and use reverse osmosis. If you take your own gallon jugs in it's 39 cents a gallon. I've also seen these machines at Kroger and Meijer. The Meijer brand name Spring water is Absopure under their lable, and is often on sale at 3 cases for $10 which is quite reasonable. There are two of us and we drink 2-3 per day. We also have filters on the kitchen sink and the shower head.
US tap water is polluted with fluoride and chlorine, two very dangerous and toxic chemicals. That being the case it's very important that you continue to drink clean, pure water. If you do choose to go the 'counter-top' filtered route make sure it's one that rids the water of both fluoride and chlorine.
Good luck!

I use one of those PUR water filtering pitchers and it is much cheaper than buying bottled water, and to me it tastes just as good.
If you are worried about bacteria etc from your usual drinking water you can always boil the water before you drink it it will kill most of the bacteria. There is also filters on the market that you can install on your tap.
Boiling water kills most of the microrganisms and renders it safe for drinking. Usage of an effective and serviced filter might help as well.
cheers & drink pleanty of water.
just boil a kettle or two full of water in the morning and transfer to jugs to cool them off. if u want them cold then refrigerate them. fully boiled water is safe for drinking as bacteria dies at boiling point of water.good luck
Get a Brita pitcher.
Boiling Water is the easiest method I believe. If you dont wish to spend money, I suggest that boiling water will be good enough
by using either a water filter pitcher or a water filter that you put on your faucet. or get a refrigerator with purified or filtered water
My refridgerator has a water purification system for the ice and water dispenser. In the past I have used a Britta pitcher. Tap water in the U.S. is safe for drinking but in some other countries it isn't. Boiling (a good rolling boil for at least 5min.) will render the water safe for drinking and cooking. You can also buy these little water purification tablets. I tried those once when camping, but found the taste kind of "odd". I opt for boiling.
If you decide to boil your water, save those empty water bottles from before to store your water to grab and go. You can also fill them about 3/4 full and freeze, then add enough water to fill the bottle and you will have good cold water for several hours.
