I am a Culinary Grad of PA Culinary class of 2000, Wheat would be better than white rice. Wheat would be on the sort of the same level as brown rice. In your diet it is best to stay away from or limit your bleached white rice and flours produts.

Rice is made from Wheat. It depends on whether you prefer Brown Rice or White Rice.
Brown Rice is more healthy, example, Wholemeal Bread is better than Plain White Bread as it have more Dietary Fibre
rice cuz i love my rice
Rice is much healthier,, wheat and other like barley oats rye etc, have gluten in them , this as been proven and causes medical problems of the stomach that is quite painfull, if it causes this to known suffers then there must be reason not to eat as much even if you do not siffer as a ceoliac, any person who suffers from swollen and uncomfortable stomach after eating shouild be tested to see if gluten is the cause.
Rice is NOT made from wheat. They are two different things.
Rice is common where you have high amounts of rainfall. Where wheat grows, you typically don't have the amount of rainfall needed to support a rice crop, such as in Europe, or the prairies of North America. It has nothing to do with one area being rich or not.
I prefer wheat-based products myself. Rice is alright, though.
Wheat
I prefer rice, it's much healthier. Brown rice is always more nutritious than white rice.
Refined wheat products, along with refined sugar and corn products are the major cause of obesity in this country, aside from the fact that Americans are more sedentary than in previous generations.
Well, i choose wheat because it's very healthy. But at the same time rice tastes better......so I think that you should eat half wheat and half rice!!!!
A bulghar wheat pilaf makes a very pleasant change to rice. If you are trying to follow a GI diet, then rice, unless it is basmati, should be eaten sparingly. Bulghar wheat, on the other hand, is low GI. You could also have it in a tabbouleh salad, which is a delicious way to try it.
If you mean wheat as in flour to be used in bread, then in terms of health there is not much difference between that and rice - each has its place - you wouldn't want a couple of slices necessarily with your curry, but on the otherhand, rice makes a lousy sandwich! The key thing with either is that the less processing done, the better - so the best rice would be brown or wild (and I believe you can now buy brown basmati) and the worst is the easy cook stuff. With bread, the best from wheat would be those where the flour is stone ground and wholemeal, and prefereably with seeds.
