Out-of-season foods?!

Question:

Out-of-season foods?

Out-of-season foods ~ names of food and where it has come from and how far has it come?

Answers:
well, if you're based in the UK a typical out-of-season food in winter is... green beans. Green beans are a summer produce but in the UK they're available all year round and are normally produced in Kenya. Another good example are strawberries, which are locally produced from spring throughout summer, but in winter they are imported from South Africa. Is this what you need to know? I can pull out another couple of examples...
