Have jacobs club biscuits got smaller in recent years?!

Question:

Have jacobs club biscuits got smaller in recent years?

Answers:
A clever marketing ploy ... shrink the chocolate biscuits but keep the price the same so they do not price themselves out of the market!

They sure have I thought that the other day.

Yes and the chocolate is thinner, its the same with most if not all of these sort of bars.

Yeah! Everything has! What about Wagon Wheels?
AND...."If you like alot of chocolate on your biscuit, join our club", is a load of cobblers, because, most of the topping is Fondant, NOT chocolate!
My girlfriend reckons Creme Eggs are also smaller than they were - and how about Monster Munch??
LOL

Yes but the prices have not..

Yeah i agree with all of you, penguins are smaller too! lol

That is a standard method to increase profits.

just like everything else

probably, everything nice and tasty is shrinking these days!!!

There's a sting in the tail though - often, after the manufacturers have spent ages slowly shrinking the sizes of their choolate bars, they suddenly market them as 50% bigger (or 50% more bars) for the same price.

And everyone thinks, 'Oooh, what great value', when actually, due to inflation, they're still paying more for the same amount of chocolate than they did 5 years ago!

Grr!
