I had my very first mango today.....?!

Question:

I had my very first mango today.....?

I'm still trying to decide if I like them or not. At first I thought it was too sweet, but then as I kept eating I began to like it. I ate the whole thing and it was good....but just very sweet in my opinion. Are most mangos sweet or does it just depend on where I got it from? I think I will keep buying them; however, unlike an apple, a mango is a fruit I couldn't eat everyday. I will keep eating them...but for special occasions. lol Like when I wanna have a day I want to eat "exotic." Hehe Do you like mangos?

I absolutely LOVE mangos!
They make GREAT smoothies

I love mangos. They are very high in vitamin A. If they are not very ripe they are not as sweet. I love to add them to a fruit plate of pineapple, banana, and strawberries.

Mangoes are my favorite fruit!! It's true that some are sweeter than others, but it depends on how ripe it is. The more ripe, the sweeter it is.

Yes
They remind me of fresh peaches or pears somewhere there.
If I had my family near buy and I could cook like many years ago. I would like to add it to my pies.
Today I do a pie,, and toss 3/4s,,,.not really I give it to the kids across the street.
As far as I know they feed it to the dog. I have never had a compliment.

mango's are yummy!.yes they are very sweet but have a lot more nutrients than candy.and are probably good for skin as well!

Yes. I love them. They are actually good roasted in your oven with a little sugar. Put that over some vanilla icecream and its awesome. Also, in order to know if you truly like it or not, you have to eat it 10 seperate times. I don't mean like 10 bites, I mean ten times like in 10 days or so. It also helps if they were prepared differently each time. Hope I helped! =)

i dont know i have never tried them

Man, I love mangoes. However, mangoes in the U.S. are garbage compared to what you can get overseas. I still buy them, but in the back of my mind I always think I am licking a piece of tin when I eat one.

India and the U.S. just signed a trade deal that will allow a much greater variety of mangoes into the U.S. in the next couple of years. There are also some great varieties of mangoes in the Caribbean and Central America.

Good mangoes can be cooked, served raw, made into chutney, or turned into fruit salad. Look up recipes on ethnic food blogs to find the best ways to prepare them.

Mangos are hard and very messy to eat when they are fresh. I like them dried

yes, especially ripe mangoes.

what ever? Mangoes a good for your health.
