Once soda is cold, does it need to remain cold?!

Question:

Once soda is cold, does it need to remain cold?

We threw a lot of soda in coolers on ice today, and didn't use much of it. I know once beer is cold, it will skunk if it doesn't stay cold. I'd imagine there's enough artificiality in soda to keep it, but does anyone have actual knowledge about whether the soda will go bad if we allow it to come back to room temperature?

Answers:
It will be fine. When you get into repetitive time and temperature changes, then you have a better risk of food borne illness, but not really with soda as you said yourself, it is filled with preservatives.

Beer on the other hand will turn because of the yeast.

I have let cold soda get warm and then cool it down again and I didn't notice any ill effects.

no you can put it at any temperatures except freezing and it will stay good reguardless of temperature change.

As long as you dont let it sit out in the sun its ok.We do it all the time we leve soda beer liquor in a ice chest till the next day and its cool most of the time but dont leve it out in the sun and dont drink it after wards did it and taste like crap.

No need to throw away good pop, besides, your wasting money if you throwing them away. You can always refrigerate the extra cans of pop and still drink them. Check the expiration date on the case or cans.

If the soda gets warm after it has been chilled, it will go flat. then it won't taste the same. that's all.
