Fruit flavored black tea?!
Fruit flavored black tea?
Can you recommend me a good brand of fruit flavored black tea? In the form of tea bags.......also, how long they should be brewed.
Answers:
I assume you're talking about Chai black tea which has a spicy fruity taste. This is brewed just like ordinary tea... brew two minutes before pouring. Use milk. And use honey... not sugar. Sugar doesn't give Chai the rich taste like honey does.
As for brand? I don't know what country you're in, so I can't recommend any. So I'll have to resort to saying "Any good name brand will do". Don't touch the cheap stuff as that can taste dreadful. Best is the brand produced by top herbal teas.
TAZO makes excellent teas. They're the brand Starbucks uses. Everything the first guy said is true.
lipton has those premium pyramid teas (the tea bag is a pyramid shape), they are decently priced, you can get them at any grocery store, and very tasty. they have a good black tea (although my favorite is the peach mango white tea).
i steep mine for two minutes
Stash makes good tea. I particularly like the peach. Republic of Tea Mango Ceylon (they have a decaf version also) is yummy, but it's a bit more expensive. I am drinking iced mango black tea right now, in fact, but it's from Sprouts' grocery http://www.sprouts.com/locations/... (AZ, CA, TX) bulk bin. It's pretty good, too. I'll be curious to see what other folks have to say. I've pretty much decided I only really like fruit teas that have a black tea base. I brew ~4-5 minutes, but often forget and oversteep, which is not a good thing.
my all time favorite fruit black tea has got to be "blackberry sage" by the republic of tea. they have a lot of really good fruit teas, dh like their "wild blueberry" and the "mango ceylon" is also good. "ginsing peppermint" is my favorite of all their varieties. all their teas are great. try to find some near you. they're usually sold at cafes, bookstores, health food stores, and co-ops.
