Are raisins antioxidants?!

Question:

Are raisins antioxidants?

I was wondering if raisins are antioxidants and if they are just as good as grapes nutritionally. Thanks.

Answers:
Grapes contain antioxidants and as you know raisins are dried grapes. The raisin making process will cause loss some vitamin C. It leaves most other nutrients. And because of lack of moisture raisins become more nutritionally dense than grapes. High heat can cause loss of antioxidants. So you will get more antioxidants eating the raisins as a snack straight from the container.*

*If like me you love to use raisins in baked goods keeping the oven temperature under 350 may salvage the antioxidants. If you like raisins in your oatmeal or other cooked cereal add them after cooking or for just the last few moments.
