At what point does a dish become a bowl?!

Question:

At what point does a dish become a bowl?

Answers:
When the sides come up enough so that the dish can hold a substantial amount of liquid.

lol when the sides are raised i suppose :)

If a fish can live in it, then its a bowl. Anything more shallow is a dish.
But saying that... it means my kids have a dish of cereal in the morning !
Unless a fish could live in their breakfast bowls ??

I would serve from a dish and eat from a bowl?

When you earn enough to have a lounge instead of a living room. ;o)

When the sides are elevated so you can pour milk on ur cereal, or eat ur ramen noodles without the soup spilling over.

A dish is shallow, a bowl is deep.

A bowl is deeper compared to a shallow dish.
