Are eggs edible if left in the car overnight?!

Question:

Are eggs edible if left in the car overnight?

If you buy eggs at the grocery store and then forget them in the car for an entire day (in 80 degree heat) are they still edible???

Answers:
Not safe to eat after a day in the heat

you can eat them if you want to but it would be incredibly dum

I've heard that if you take the egg (uncracked, of course) and put it in a glass of water and it floats, it has gone bad. If it sinks quickly it's fine.

No. Not in that heat

according to my grandparents there is nothing wrong with your eggs, they can last weeks without refrigeration.......
But I dont think they are really safe to eat! And to be safe throw them out and go buy more, they are not real expensive so your not losing much money. and its better then getting sick from bad eggs.

eww i wouldnt. the heat and not being frigerated, and they could be soiled or sumthing,, id jus go buy more lol, its better then gettin sick.

It all depends on how hot or cool it was overnight and in the car if cool yes you can eat them but to hot and they will be edible but would get you sick

I live in Mexico, and the eggs here are never refrigerated in the stores. Many of the stores have inside temperatures exceeding 80 degrees, so I'd say that your eggs are edible. I'd cook them, though, and not eat them raw or partially raw.

Not only no but Hell No!! Throw the eggs away and buy new ones. Don't ever eat anything that you have left out in the car for the day or overnight unless you want to get very sick and possibly die from it.

NATSY. THROW THEM AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No way!

I woulld not eat them. however the crushed shells could be used as fertilizer in your garden.

oh my god no no no !
DONT DO IT !

i wouldn't eat eggs that had been the car in eighty degree weather over night the probably went bad

I don't believe you should eat them.

Be on the the safe side, throw them out.

sure they are and why not they are not a diary product in fact we use to sell cracked eggs on the farm cheaper and they were good. if they were fertile could have cooked chicken in a shell

Yuck! Throw them out!!!

heck no! throw them away!

Oh no..unless you want to get food poisoning.

let's see.... the price of a dozen eggs versus the risk of food poisoning. when in doubt, throw it out....

Just to be safe, splurge on the 99 cents and buy some new eggs. And get a fridge so you can bring them inside!

the way to test if an egg has gone bad is to submerge them in ice cold water, if they float they are bad if it stays at the bottom they are good to eat, but I don't think it is safe to have left the eggs over night in the car

maybe you have no money to buy eggs again and you would like to know if your eggs still good to eat, boil one and taste it if the taste still good you can eat them all, but if there is cheks already better wait untill they grow up so you can have barbecue.

i would say no

no the eggs are not good because it can make you sick by it being left out in the car in the heat. i would throw away the eggs and buy some new ones.

I would not eat them. You would get pretty sick off of them. I rather have eggs that have been in my fridge.
