Does freezing a watermelon ruin it?!

Question:

Does freezing a watermelon ruin it?

Put watermelon in freezer for a couple of hours and now that rind is really soft and it all mushy around the outside.

Answers:
Uh, yeah. Mushy gushy mess. I have heard of freezing fruit to use as ice cubes but I'm not sure how. But I'm sure it has to do with cutting it up first!

I have never frozen watermelon before, so I really cant help you much. Sorry!

And your question..???
you got the answer in your ref,...

yes you left it in too long it should be thrown out

YES ANY TYPE OF MELON WILL RUIN IN THE FREEZER

if u have it cut up into peices, and put into a container they should be fine

Any fruits or vegetables with a high water content are best not frozen. When water freezes, it expands and breaks the cell membranes and you end up with the mush you described.

No it's just like freezing stawbreerys or other fruit

Yes Watermelon is all water if you freeze it, it turns to mush because of the flesh. if you eat frozen (watermaleon- lettuce ect...) you will be spending some time in the bathroom later.
