How do you know when pasta is fully cooked?!

Question:

How do you know when pasta is fully cooked?

Answers:
It depends on what type of pasta it is. They all have different cooking times and it also depends on how firm or soft you like your pasta. Pasta that still has a certain firmness to it is referred to as al dente. The best way to test it is to taste it. If it's to the desired firmness or softness you like, then it's done.

when its not hard

sticks to wall

It sticks to the wall, baby, it sticks to the wall!

OK, seriously, how you like your pasta is subjective. I like mine al dente, still with a bit of a crunch. So, Einstein, what I do is take a noodle or two out and taste test it. Even my youngest kid knows how to do that.

right you take a piece out...let it cool ....then try it out

TRY A PIECE AND WHEN ITS TO YOUR LIKING ITS DONE.

Take a piece and eat it. If it's good enough 4 you than it's done.

When it's soft, but not mushy. Usually takes 7-10 minutes.

follow instructions on packet and taste.

OOhhhh i no
it's grandmas secret trick
You throw a piece of pasta to the wall and if it sticks that means it cooks

take one piece out and bite it, the past shoud have a very thin part that is still white looking like it is raw. it is be almost done like that, then take it off the stove because just the heat alone will allow it to continue to cook. this will give you pasta that is al dente, firm.

if you overcook it it will be mushy

watch the clock when you cook it an then you should have an approximate time of how long it takes to cook for next time.

If it's soft...and take one out to make sure it's good enough for you though.

Pinch it, and if it breaks in two easily, it's done. It it's a bit hard, then leave it to cook for a few more minutes.

Your pasta is done when you can throw it against a cabinet or something and it sticks or you can cut through it with a knife easily. Also Just take a little noodle out and taste it. Raw pasta will not kill you!

try a piece & bite throu it. Ur call on the "hardness" & "softness"

bite off a piece and look at the inside (its cross section), if you can see a part (a little dot if spaghetti) of its original uncooked color then it's still not fully cooked. when you bite of a piece and the color is the same all through out it's cross section then its fully cooked (the tricky part is getting it right when the color turns the same all through out to avoid mushy pasta so i usually start biting after about 5 min of cooking then check every minute after). good luck!
