Its really very easy one you get into the swing of it. Stop thinking of them as snacks and think of them as meals. I had to do this once and all I did was split what I would normally eat in a day and broke it down. Eg. Dinner you might have fish and salad. Well try having a bit of tuna with a bit of salad in the mid arvo and then nite have a smallish cooked piece of fish with a few steamed veges. Another way was to write down what I would normally eat in a day and then divided it all up into 6 meals.
Its really very easy and it can be fun cause you can mix and match all you like.

Try to have balanced meals, just smaller portion sizes.

1/2 banana, 1/2 c bran cereal or oatmeal, 1 egg.

small salad with 1/2 chicken breast., etc.

yoghurt, any fruit, salad, even jello. peanut butter crackers, pretzel sticks, a slice of cheese.

mini meatloaf, half a grilled cheese, rice and beans, corn tortilla quesadia, pasta salad, salad, fruit salad, soup, gaspacho, sweet potato fries, baked potato, cottage cheese, ravioli, tuna salad.

Breakfast. Have an egg on toast.
Morning tea. Have a sandwich
Lunch. A couple of sandwiches and a banana.
Afternoon tea. A piece of cake or a couple of ginger nut biscuits
Dinner. Chicken Spuds and Veges.
Supper. Cheese on toast.

Also have some extra fruit and vegetables. Coleslaw, carrot and celery sticks etc
